Gidday guys, I feel like a horrible noob asking this…but I can’t seem to get Mupen64plus on retropie 3.0 RC1 using multiple input axis or buttons as the one input. The command file specifies
DPad R = axis(4+) hat(0 Right)but when I try the likes of
Z Trig = button(7) button(6)
or
X Axis = axis(0-, 0+) axis(2-, 2+)Only the first option entry is used. I don’t know if this is a bug or if I’m reading the suggested command method wrong so after my google fu ran out and the frustration kicked in I decided I’d ask.
Once again sorry for the noobness!!!
Its just an idea for now to make a BMO using retropie

For those who don’t know who dont know who BMO is he is a portable robot-console from cartoon series “Adventure Time”
so the hardware is easy to make, the problem is the OS
i have chosen RetroPie because it alredy can play games,
Now we need to fork RetroPie to play fulscreen videos of beemos face that i will make but they will be like this(he will speek if you move infront of his camera he will say this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Awj2_Qr1YUo
also if you type stuff in the console (a question tab) that is activated by pressing a button on his belly(also there is a keyboard option(usb))
he will activate retropie’s interface and games will be playableconsole.word == raw_input: if console.word == "Play me a song bmo" or "play a song" or "bmo play me a song": omxplayer myvideo.mp4of corse you will need to do it better than me beacuse that is just and example of poorly written phyton + Gnome
also for omxplayer (we need to make a better player that can only be closed if a button is pressed and it oppens RetroPie) there is a Gnome code needed
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get -y install omxplayerof course when
so i need help with the os (if you dont want to make it just give me some advice)
also the project may continue if i have engout supportTopic: N64 issues
Hey I just installed retro pie 3.0 and when running n64 roms the video and sound are very choppy and the game is unplayable. I’m using a 1st generation raspberry pi.
-Thanks and any help would be greatHello everybody!
I’m having some problems with the configurations of my retropie, and i want some help of you guys. If you can help me of course…
Before i start i would like to apologize for my bad english. I’m Brazilian, and maybe i have some problem to say exactly what i need, if so, please ask me and i will try to put it into another way.
So here we go!
I just config my retropie (raspberry pi2 with retropie 3.0 BETA 4) to load games directly from the usb, everything ok until now, but i’m having problems to save state. Every time that i try to save, or load, it fails! Does anybody here have any idea of how to fix it?
and…
I’m having some vídeo problems with n64 and psx as well, both emulators have a high tax of lag (n64 is almost frozen), what can i do to improve the performance?
In any case, thank you for your time! Hope you can help me =)
Hi,
i did manage to get 4 PS3 Controller to work over Bluetooth today, unfortunatly there are no games that work with 4 Players at the same time.
The only won working was N64 Mario Kart but the Game lagged a bit and the sound was awful.
Any suggestions how to improve this or is this a matter of the N64 and i have to “just” overclock it?Or any other games that 4 players can play at the same time, haven’t tried MAME till now, guess thats the best option?
take care
NeoTraceTopic: N64 Compatibility List!
So lots of people have been curious on N64 emulation so I created a list of all the games (I kept regional varations out just to keep it simple) for the community to contribute to.
First and foremost for consistency’s sake its best for those contributing to it to be using a Raspberry Pi 2 and using the Mupen64plus-Testing emulator (installed from the experimental menu in the retropie setup script.)
With those contingencies being met there are 3 columns to edit- one for the plugin being used (gles2n64 or Rice), the second for status- again a simple stable or unstable, and third a column for notes explaining the nature of the instability.
Here’s the Sheet:

Would like to get some help on a strange controller issue. I am running RP version 3 beta 4. I am using a Game Elements PC Recoil gamepad. The issue I am having is certain emulators work and some do not. Mame and Neo Geo work perfectly. SNES,Mega-Drive, Turbo Graphics and N64 do not. The buttons respond, but the joystick movement does not work. Just like to know what I am doing wrong and if I have to configure each emulator separately. They were working fine up until a few days ago. I have been running this for about 2 months with no problems. Appreciate any help on this. Thanks :)
