Hi All,
First post so slap me if I’m off topic or ignorant.
I just got my Retropi up and running, with 2 new 8bitdo pads. I got all games working so far but got stuck at N64 Mario cart, I don’t know how to configure the controller… Can anyone help me?Kind regards
TokeTopic: GlideN64 Plugin
I’ve discovered this plugin is now available to use but I wondered whether anyone had tried it and found it to be better than the other two options?
I ran Goldeneye using the GlideN64 plugin last night and it was terribly snow.
Hi there,
i am pretty new to retropie, but i already have a question.
Figured out that Mario Kart 64 is working way better with the mupen64plus-gles2n64 emulator. But right now my controller isn´t loaded and i can´t play the game anyhow.
Where do i have to go, to make my controller available at another emu as well?
Thanks
Topic: n64 help!!!
Zelda has some issues in the default n64 emulator so I’ve been trying to use rice but I keep getting a ui console error saying cannot open shared object file:no such file or directory. Does anyone know how to fix this
Thanks in advance
Topic: Quitting Emulators
Hey…you were so great in helping me before I figured i would ask again
I am having some trouble exiting emulators (most infact except MAME and Amiga) ATARI, Megadrive, C64 etc all stay within game and need an “on/off” reboot to reselect game
I have checked config files the Megadrive file i looked at
/opt/retropie/configs/megadrive/Dgenrc and made sure exit key = escape – it was I exited …but it is non effective.
Any advice on how i can set up keyboard operations to exit these environments (Atari/C64/SNES/Megadrive/N64) is welcomedthank you in advance
Hi all.
As the title suggests. I have various roms for different emus and when using the gamesdb scaper it barely finds anything.
E.g pacman, space invaders, streets of rage, double dragon, mortal kombat (very well known games)
Only thing i can think of is the naming convention throwing it out?
I searched these games on gamesdb website and it has them.
Any ideas?
Ps this is not just mame (snes, megadrive, neo geo, n64 etc)
Thanks
Topic: Saitek P880 controller
Hi. Luvvin Retropie but my controller works ok with N64 Mario World,F-Zero,Starfox but the fire button isn’t there in Duke Nukem,Live another day,Chopper Attack.
Where’s the individual game settings,if any?
Grateful for help.Topic: Running some ROMS ..
1stly well done on your site… great work, love it.
Now if you could try and help I am having some trouble getting SOME emulators to run their ROMS, I am delighted to say that MAME, ATARI, SNES and mega drive run like dreams.
However N64 is a bit “laggy”
Where as C64 doesn’t load (tragically) neither does Amiga nor Playstation.I will explain what happens to hopefully help with the solution
C64 does the “searching” game “finds” game on the C64 blue interface and then displays “ready” and “run”.
I dont seem to be able to exit the UI without a reset (power off!)
Playstation I have downloaded the schp1001.bin – put it in the folder, followed the online video ..ie changed run command to 2. The ROMS appear on the Playstaion option (within RetroPi) but on loading it says <game name>.mdf file not supported – even though i have checked the extensions are declared. It reurns to the retroPi/Playstation area.
guide followed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6-VOCyDoTcAmiga – loads UAE4ALL i load the game into the disk, ensure the kickstart 1.3 is selcted (I have even pointed to it manually using the custom), I “reset” then the screen goes, white, grey, and freezes, depending on game I might see the Amiga UI for a flash, maybe some coloured lines scrolling fast (like the actual loading of a c64 game in the day).
Guide followed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dleumwWZp6QI feel (hope ) I am close to getting these working, as I say I have followed online vids etc and am all out of ideas…any help is welcomed.
Spec wise the following:
Pi Model: 2 B
RetroPie Version Used: 3
Built From: Image – from yourself
USB Devices connected: none – i transfer ROMS using WinSCP
Controller used: none .. wireless keyboard currently
Error messages received: (as described)
Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide).. links given aboveHope this helps, and I hope you can help …loving MAME and Atari but longing for them teenage / paperound money bleeding fun days of the C64 !!
cheers
Tim
