Participantprix, are you a bot, or do really want to know what I aspire to be?

Participant@mo55sey – any config info that you can provide about using two ps2 controllers on the gpio would be appreciated. I saw your pis2 build, and it looked very nice. I have 2 ps2 arcade sticks that I’m strongly considering using in a build.

ParticipantHere is my entry to the contest. It’s a 16 bit emulation system inside of Madden 95 for the Sega Genesis. It runs emulators for Genesis, NES, SNES, Neo Geo, and TG-16.

ParticipantIndeed, my joystick has one dpad and two analog sticks. Here is a link to logitech’s info page for the controller:

@prusr, I performed this config prior to RetroPie being more joystick autoconfig-friendly. It’s possible that the config program has changed parameters slightly as far as what it outputs.@woodpecker, Those two lines should already be in the config, so I’d consider deleting them and adding something into the MAME config file if you’re only having issues there.

ParticipantI had some controller woes, as well, but I was able to fix my issues. I have a Logitech Dual Action USB controller.
Here is my post if you find it useful.

ParticipantHave you run ES-Scraper to generate a gamelist.xml file?
zoot
ParticipantThere’s a script in the RetroPie-Setup directory that allows you to update the RetroPie binaries. That might help out.
zoot
ParticipantCould you put it on github?
zoot
ParticipantThis is configurable in raspi-config, isn’t it?
zoot
ParticipantYes, I think that reordering the emulator entries will affect the order that you can choose them in ES. This allows you to put your most popular emulator entry first if you feel like it.

ParticipantI noticed that PiFBA might have figured out some way to get it done, but the program might need to be altered to create a gamelist.xml file for EmulationStation:

ParticipantI’m also having issues with getting emulators to reliably exit using a controller button. It is indeed quite frustrating, but I haven’t found any solutions yet.

ParticipantI’m using a Logitech Dual Action USB controller. So far, so good, but I’m still figuring out how to bind the exit emulator button to one of the controller buttons. I currently have it bound to the controller, but the wrong button, which I suppose is a good start.
