There is a little problem in Retropie Arcade:

If you update all emulators or also some of them, like mame4all that have the controller ps3 problem in wireless ( fixed if you update the emulator ), the update of course works only in \\RETROPIE\roms\mame-mame4all, and not in \\RETROPIE\roms\arcade.

I think that is possible fix it with copy and paste mame4all files.

Smithers you know how? If you have some minutes to dedicate about this little problem.

    Thanks for you amazing job

but with this, you must go into favorites, and not in movies.

there is a way to go in movies and see our files, without go back and then select the nas folder?

(example: go into movies and see all movies posters in nas )
hey guys I wanted to let you know RetroPie 3 ROCKS! it has been set up beautifully. I do have a question I had it set up then my Micro SD card corrupted and then when I re-imaged it and reconfigured my PS3 controllers they are now showing up as controller 3 and 4 before the corruption they worked flawlessly as 1 and 2. is there a way to manually configure them back to 1 and 2 ?
Have you tried to delete from retropie set-up, all bluetooth controller and reconfigure it only before to put reset botton under controller?

    thanks for that smith

about sd corruption in kodi helix, means that can i risk my sd physically ?
if is like that, maybe is better isengard, anyway i’m very noob, so please forgive me for this silly question.

another question is about mame4all that doesn’t work bluetooth command with ps3 controller and in 2.6 retropie works, is possible restore it? because is impossible remap the controller via bluetooth in mame4all, but in advmame works without problem, and you can remap all buttons.

thanks a lot to share with us

    i have the same problem

i don’t understand why with wired, i can map my button, and over bluetooth i can’t..

is impossible set up buttons and disconnect the cable because doesn’t work! why? :( very weird…

also with mortal kombat 2 in mame4all, i can’t open tab menu, maybe i set up wrong and i delete the tab menu.

    how can i restore it?

and there is a fix to get bluetooth controller in mame4all?
@robertus Yes, and Select + R1 to load. You can have multiple save states, choose which one with Select + Left and Right on the joypad.
    This may also help

sorry but what change about vanilla? i don’t understand this “vanilla” what is

anyway this kodi 15.1 is better? because i see that for example, previous version is very unstable

    maybe i understand your problem

anyway i don’t have ps3 controller, but ps4 and i at the moment i didn’t get connection over bluetooth with my retropie… :(

but your issue seems that your controller doesn’t work in game, but in menu?

If in menu works, the problem is that for every emulator you need to map your controller, so start your rom, then press ps button and you have access to retropie menu, here you can go settings, device and map it.

I’m going to mind, so the path (menu, settings and device) maybe isn’t right, but anyway try this way IF in retropie menu works

    Hi, i have some questions:

in first thanks a lot for this amazing job

1 – it’s possible install jdownloader under kodi and autostart when kodi running ? ( to download my stuff when i see my movies.

2 – how can i connected my ps4 dualshock controller for retropie via bluetooth ? i tried without success in retropie forum. I don’t know if someone get it.

3 – same issue with controller vie bluetooth in kodi. but here i can see the controller via bluetooth and i can connected the controller ( blue light ), but nothing works, maybe i need to setup something ?

I have RPI2 overclocked to medium, but anyway i see that the movies have a little slow framerate sometimes, i don’t know why.

Is very little this problem but is present, someone have the same issue ?
You need to open the config file from within your MAC address folder and use the value from the class line. I just used xxx as the folder name since everyone’s MAC address is different. I guess the more accurate folder name example would be xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx. The folder name is irrelevant though, you want the class value from the config file.
