turns out that after opening a terminal on my mac i was able to:
    cd /
    ls
    cd users
    cd jlogue
ls (i didn’t see .ssh or anything similar to it)
    cd /users/jlogue/.ssh/known_hosts
(it returned permission denied to which this piqued my entered)
    sudo nano /users/jlogue/.ssh/known_hosts
(it had the ip of my raspberry pi along with a key that I deleted)
    ctrl-x
    y

and now i can finally ssh into my raspberry pi from my mac again. no more going back and forth between screens to read the command line.
    thank you for your assistance!

Now if I could just get the wifi adapter to run I’d be all set!

    entered command: Home/.ssh/known_hosts
received response: -bash: HOME/.ssh/known_hosts” No such file or directory

    entered command: /etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts
received response: -bash: /etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts: No such file or directory

the file is located in /etc/ssh, so I entered,

    entered commmand: /etc/ssh/known_hosts
received response: -bash: /etc/ssh/known_hosts: Permission Denied

I would assume this means that the only location where it is reading the information from is in that directory, which as I mentioned it is empty. Is there any way to disable “strict checking” I’ve searched and found examples to comment out specific lines in ssh_config and sshd_config, but still have the issues.

    “Offending RSA key in /Users/jlogue/.ssh/known_hosts:1
RSA host key for 192.168.1.13 has changed and you have requested strict checking.
    Host key verification failed.

    [Process completed]”

There is no /users/jlogue/.ssh/known_hosts on the RPi2, is this referring to a directory on my mac? Because when I do a search for known_hosts on my mac it returns nothing

I’m playing NES, SNES, N64, and PSX games with a PS3 controller over bluetooth. Having no problems with ROMs. I’ve got my RPi2 overclocked to the standard overclock setting in raspi-config at 1000mhz. Graphics memory at 384. I’ve only had to moderately change a few settings, but all of the help I have gotten from these forums. Currently the quad core processor isn’t being utilized to its full potential, but theres a dramatic increase in performance compared in RPi 1 to RPi 2.

I’m on my 4th clean install of the latest image for the RPi2, and I have to say its been all due to installing lxde or xfce. I enjoyed be able to utilize the gui desktop for the sole purpose of clicking and seeing some things such as bluetooth manager and wifi manager. But after this most recent clean install I’ve decided to forego the GUI and keep my pi strictly a gaming console and working on it with the command line.
There is a plethora of info on setting up the wifi adapter and bluetooth adapter. I’m a big fan of text editors, but in the long run if all you’re going to do is make a few minor changes to a file then the command line is really all you need.
Goals for tomorrow: configure pi basic settings, get bluetooth up and running and have it ALWAYS searchable, try relentlessly to get my ps4 controller to work with games wirelessly (i can get emulationstation to recognize it and allow me use it to move between selecting games wired, I was even able to get it to do this wirelessly. But for some reason games will not recognize my controller wired or wireless), and maybe even find someone who has had success in getting the Edimax EW-7811UTC wifi adapter working on the RPi2(then I’ll finally be able to move to the big screen and cut the cord from the ethernet)
Good luck to you, with all of the resources available and the wonderful support of fellow users in these forums getting your project running is only a matter of time and patience!

Running v2.5 on RPi2 Overclocked 1ghz, won’t play N64, SNES, NES,and won’t even show PSX games even though they are in the directory. Patiently waiting, this is my first project and I knew with it being new hardware it would take a while before the software was optimized for it. I’ve posted a few videos showing what happens; they are out of focus, far away, and of poor quality. The main reason is just to show most return to the emulation station screen, but some freeze up.
