in reply to: IPAC-2 Keyboard control issues #93994
i Would also start with Retropie 3.0
in reply to: IPAC-2 Keyboard control issues #93993I had problems with mine but its fixed!!!
If it helps out i downloaded the recent firmware for it on the ultimarc page. Then i configured each retroarch.cfg for every system.
i setup a hot key and i changed all the keyboard presses for all keyboard options (fast-forward, volume up, etc etc etc) to “nul” without the “”.
Then i just adjusted each player control with a push of the buttons!A lil tip is to not use the ALT or CTRL or SHIFT buttons.
for some strange reason retroarch hates them :)You can change which keyboard key is setup for which button using the winipac program on the ultimarc page.
Hope that helps!
in reply to: NeoGeo not working in 3.0 #93381The key config for FBA-LB is the retroarch.cfg one in the fba directory.
in reply to: NeoGeo not working in 3.0 #93311yeah you can create it and use this as a template to what you need to put in the actual file itself.

in reply to: NeoGeo not working in 3.0 #93308Update the retropie setup script then do a binary update.
Maybe that will solve the problem?
I have it on mine!in reply to: IPAC 2 – Configure Help #93279Check out floobs or herbfargus videos on YouTube.
They do a great job explaining this!
Cant upload at link since this is a work computer and YouTube is blocked or else i would.in reply to: N64 Emulator Problems after Image 3.0 #93278When you choose a game press x or m before the game starts and choose a different plug-in. I think the rice and gles get the control configuration from the .ini file that has the retrolink controllers already pre configured.
if you choose the -lb one then you would need to edit the retroarch.cfg file.
in reply to: IPAC 2 – Configure Help #93243After that just edit the retroarch.cfg file for each emulator and your good to go!
in reply to: IPAC 2 – Configure Help #93240I had trouble with my ipac at first too..
Ultimarc has a program to change which keyboard key is assigned to which button.
http://www.ultimarc.com/winipacv2.html
You can download the program and the updated firmware here. http://www.ultimarc.com/download.htmlHopefully that helps!
in reply to: NeoGeo not working in 3.0 #93239Its in opt/retropie/configs/neogeo
in reply to: fba romset #92758I think you are right Floob. I saw it earlier today as well.
in reply to: Street Fighter 3 on fba-libretro working. #92521Awesome!Thanks!
in reply to: Street Fighter 3 on fba-libretro working. #92508But how?!?!?!?
Floob, how can I rip an image out of my sd card?
in reply to: Which emulators do you use by default? #92134Lr-nes
Lr-snes
Lr-masters stem
Lr-gb
Lr-gbc
Lr-gba
mame4all (using the Lr only for mk2 and mk3)
mupen64plus testing (rice)
Lr-fba
gngeopi (just because it’ll play all the metal slug and kof games.)in reply to: Testers for new image with emulator selection #92132Hey buzz i cant get gngeopi to work.
All my neo geo games are currently running on pifba.
I previously had then on gngeopi but retropie wont pick up that folder so i switched them to the neogeo folder.
Once i get the emulator selector up and i choose the gngeopi it just kicks me straight out of the emulator straight back into emulationstation.
I dont even get the neogeo symbol on the bottem right corner.in reply to: fba romset #92116Awesome! ill be sure to check that out too!
in reply to: fba romset #92111Ill check in /opt/retropie/emulators/pifba folder and try as soon as i get home.
Where would i check to find the .dat file for the FBA-Libreto version?
in reply to: fba romset #92110Awesome! ill check it out.
I’m not too familiar with clrmamepro.
Tried once and failed miserably.
I read in other posts that its romset FBA 0.2.97.08 or so but there has been so many different versions of FBA thrown around that i just wanted to clarify which set should be used for each version of FBA (Pifba & FBA-Libreto).
in reply to: Testers for new image with emulator selection #90746That would be amazing!
Especially in the N64 part of the project!
Its a great feature!in reply to: Turn power off, with i-Pac or ControlBlock ?! #90359buy a mausberry circuit board.
in reply to: Mupen64plus (ricrpi branch) #89862The only way to exit is by assigning one button only.
It doesn’t support hot keys at the moment.
I have it setup to exit using the “L” Button since its hardly used on games and if it is used it is usually mimicking the “R” Button.in reply to: Mupen64plus (ricrpi branch) #89300If i need to add a game onto the RiceVideoLinux.ini do i just add the ROM # inside new “{ROM # Here}” then make up a relevant name for it under that for the “name” description?
Im guessing you can get the Rom # from the black screen before the game loads right?
Does the name of the game matter in the way i name them as opposed to using Lower or Upper case letters?
in reply to: Mupen64plus (ricrpi branch) #89163I will definitely keep you updated.
in reply to: Mupen64plus (ricrpi branch) #89162I was looking at that earlier.
Why don’t you make the ScreenUpdateSetting = 7 as default since it fixes lots of games.
I’m currently testing it out with that as the default then changing them.
It’ll clear up the .ini file too.
in reply to: Mupen64plus (ricrpi branch) #89118I just saw it merged. Awesome!
Do i just sudo ./retropie_setup.sh update the script then download the experimental version of it?in reply to: Mupen64plus (ricrpi branch) #88951I saw that you had a pull request for the vanilla Mupen to test.
What happened with that?Reason i ask is because i recently started to test out some games and mess with the rice settings but i dont want to get some progress with the testing and then the core changes.
Should i just keep testing or should i wait till the core gets updated?
in reply to: Deleting Hotkeys in all/retroarch.cfg #88214Instead of deleting the lines put “nul”
That should disable the ones you don’t want to use.in reply to: Ideas: A better MAME and a full Raspbian OS #88210I dont really see the problem.
mame4all and pifba have loads of great games!
My only thing was not being able to play MK2 on Mame but whatever.
I can still play that game on SNES!in reply to: Mupen64plus (ricrpi branch) #88173Sounds awesome!
Will start testing and posting!in reply to: Mupen64plus (ricrpi branch) #88161Since this is in “Ideas For Further Enhancements” section of the forums, what about adding this –gfx switch in the video options (press x or m) that way they can be saved per individual roms?
in reply to: Neo geo emulation in image 2.3 #88135in the downloads sections of this website there’s a change log and the image.
in reply to: Mupen64plus (ricrpi branch) #88108I’ve got to try this!!
I just got my pi2 yesterday so I’m definitely going to try this as soon as I get home from work.
in reply to: Mupen64plus (ricrpi branch) #88013Thats Awesome!
Somebody should definitely set up a “working n64 roms” database with the specific video plugin + individual changes to the config.
As more people try this emulator those setting could then maybe be setup as a default config for future releases.
Win!
Just a shower thought.
in /opt/retropie/emulators/pifba/fba2x.cfg there is a directory to go to to set up your buttons.
Maybe paste this file here to see what your current setting are?
Im at work so im trying to think what i can remember seeing.
Ive never configured a controller on FBA but im definitely going to so it would help to know as well.
