One more thing. I’ve got a few pixels of garbage on the top and bottom of my screenshots. This isn’t a huge deal, but if there’s a way to correct it, I’d like to.

    Well, this totally works, thanks.

Is it normal for the emulation to pause about 1 second during the screenshot?

Ahh! Freakin’ sweet. That did the trick. Just a syntax issue that was beyond me. Didn’t know the “input_enable_hotkey” as opposed to the “input_enable_hotkey_btn”.

    Thanks for your help.

    Ah, excellent question, Floob.

I just tested and the game does exit when I hold select and hit SPACE on the keyboard, or the button I have mapped to SPACE on the remote. Which begs the question, is there a way to set up an additional hotkey button on the keyboard so I don’t have to use the select key? I would still, of course like to continue to use the hotkey on the 360 controller.

XBOX 360 Wireless controller for Windows.

I rolled up my sleeves and manually edited all my gamelist.xmls where needed. Kodi has a plain ‘file name only’ scraper that could be a model for what you’re wanting here. It could just scrape the file names and populate the <image> tags with the path and the same rom name. This would have saved me hours putting in my Hyperspin wheel art for my MAME section (looks 100x better than the art you get from the build in scraper).

Luckily I wasn’t doing a full set. I’m limiting my Retro Pie build to have at max around 100 of the best games for each system instead of going balls out.

Thanks, Gonzo. That did the trick. There’s something funky with the way I’m creating my custom svg file.

    I appreciate it.

I’m running XBMC with a script in EmulationStation and it all works great, BUT… I lose my XBOX 360 Wireless controller controls when I get into XBMC. I have to use the keyboard to navigate.

Anyone successfully using a controller with XBMC launching from EmulationStation?
How did you obtain the artworks and meta data for the MAME games? Manually or with a script?
For the Capcom System 1 & 2 I built the gameslist manually. Not too bad since there are less than 100 titles and I have a nice organized collection of game artwork & metadata from Hyperspin arcade front end software.

Real cool to have my themes added to RetroPie. It’s an honor. Thanks for all your work on this great project!
Could you possibly post all your other themes?
I’ve made modifications to some of the included themes but only subtle changes to the ones I didn’t post (e.g., moving the Sega Genesis box art down a little). Right now I am working on a theme for a 2-Player-only NES category so I’ll be posting that soon. My other themes are just slight variations on what is already available.

Oops, only allowed 2 attachments. Here’s the GameBoy theme.
