    Great solution!

I reverted back to my old Pi with an old version of retropie because of this issue.

Just tried this fix today and it works perfectly on the Pi2.

Even fixes the mame4all issue with 2 player buttons!

    Great stuff.

Should mention that the XinMo is now seen as 2 joysticks. For me, player2 was recognised as js0, and player1 as js1

    Hi ghog,

I’ve got mine working with the code above now.

The issue was the software. 2.4 just doesn’t work. 2.3 does though.

Try again with an earlier version of retropie and hopefully more luck.

Also your ‘numbers’ are likely to be different.

Search for a jstest to work out what number each of your buttons are and to see whether it is even recognised correctly.

The joystick should be detected in a PC. Plug it in and see.

Same here. Downgraded to an older version and working fine. Just the latest image that does not work.

    Hi dpicc,

    Appreciate the reply.

I’m pretty sure I’ve done all of that.
Run the setup, edited the cfg file.
No # symbols for the buttons I am using and button value after ‘=’

I’ve seen your post as well, fixing the issues with mame4pi and PiFBA, but not using those roms yet. Just trying to get Retroarch to run properly.

Will use when I’ve sorted retroarch though!

    Any other suggestions?
    Does my code look right?

    OK, strange one here…

Player2 seems to work now if Player1 Y button is held down…

So if I hold down Player 1 Y, the joystick and buttons for Player2 become active. If Player 1 Y is not held down, nothing.

Thanks, best to stick with 2.3 then?

The link looks like I need to reinstall, was hoping I could update through command line somehow, but no worries, thanks!
