    Hi folks,

it looks like regardless of which keyboard layout I choose in raspi-config, it stays in english. (i’m trying to set it to match my german keyboard)
Is anybody else experiencing this problem?

More specifically, it remains in English (UK); I can’t set it up for English (US) either.
I’ve tried using “raspi-config” as well as “sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration”.

The commands above updated the file you mentioned, but it’s not applying the settings.

Seems that others have been having the same issue:

can't type ''/'' on Terminal. ROM'S not showing up.

    HERE IS THE SOLUTION.

I connected the Pi to the Internet with an Ethernet cable, and then the commands mentioned above worked (like rasps-config).
    Weird.
I now have a US English keyboard and can edit my Wi-Fi config ;)

    User “Tank” found the solution:

can't type ''/'' on Terminal. ROM'S not showing up.
