    I got my PS3 controller to work with it being plugged in by going to RetroPie-Setup location from the command line and then running the
    sudo ./retropie_setup.sh

    From there I chose option 3 and then ran option 322 to register my retroarch controller.

    Note: I did not chose the option to install the PS3 controller driver just running the register RetroArch controller option worked for me.

    I also didn’t do this with Bluetooth so I always have to have my PS3 controller plugged in.

    I also tested to see if I could play 2 player games with 2 PS3 controllers and I was able to both controllers worked fine and I’m pretty sure both were able to make use of the save state,load state,menu,and reset options I configured.

    As for N64 emulation I know that noone so far has gotten it running on versions 2.x (I don’t know about earlier versions I just started with version 2.1)

    For the themes I haven’t tried getting to set any of my own so I don’t know where to put them but I don’t think anyone has posted any new themes yet for version 2.x.

    I got a BIOS file .zip that has many different BIOS files on it along with other files. I tried taking out all the BIOS files and using the newest one but that didn’t work, pifba just booted to a black screen and then I tried taking out all those extra files and that also didn’t work and pifba just booted to a black screen again.

    So far I’ve only gotten 2 games to play and that’s King of Fighters ’94 and metal Slug 5(or something like there there’s so many Metal Slugs I don’t remember which one worked).

    I tried looking up what BIOS to use and if there should be any other files included with it but I had no luck in finding any information.

    Is there a specific BIOS that is known to work with pifba?

    My es_system.cfg is located under /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg

    I also notice that the roms I’m downloading have a .bin and a .cue file. So far I’ve just been using the .bin file but the audio has been a little choppy at times now does this have to do with the .cue file missing or is this just the emulator and would overclocking make the sound emulate better.
    (I already overclocked to medium in the raspi-config and the sound did get better but I want to make sure that this isn’t a missing file problem.)

    I can’t seem to get FBa working with NeoGeo roms. It loads up a rom and then goes to a black screen. The only one that relatively worked was metal slug but that only had audio and a blue screen which looked like the color of the sky in the game.

    I followed your steps above and copied the neogeo.zip file to the 3 locations but I still get the same black screen.

    Is there something I’m missing?

    Ok glad you could get it to work if I knew another way to upload it I would.

    It totally slipped my mind to zip it before uploading my bad on that.

    When I got my 360 controller working I found out xboxdrv was actually interfering with the configs in the games so I decided to uninstall it.

    I just used the retroarch joystick setup in RetroPie-Setup/RetroPie_Setup.sh then chose option 3 in the first menu and then I believe the option to set the joystick is 8 (I don’t have my Pi on so I don’t know exactly what the option is called) and then I went into the retroarch.cfg file and I was able to set save state,load state, emulator menu, and emulator reset buttons.

    The retroarch.cfg file is located in the directory: /opt/retropie/configs/all/

    The commands to set the enable hotkey and exit emulator hotkey in the retroarch.cfg are: (you need the enable hotkey because that’s what you press along with the other buttons that do other actions like load state or save state)
    input_enable_hotkey_btn = “8″
    input_exit_emulator_btn = “9″

    The commands to set the save state and load state in the retroarch.cfg are:
    input_save_state_btn = “4″
    input_load_state_btn = “5″

    The numbers are what buttons are pressed on the controller when you set it up in the retroarch joystick setup.

    Hopefully this helps a little, let me know if I need to be more clear.

    I have one that I’ve been using for a week or so. I haven’t had any trouble with it yet. I’m uploading it to my drive since it’s upwards of 800MBs. I’ll post a link when it’s finished if you still need it.
