Real life work is interfering with last systems, damn. But, well, I’ve got a job at last, so that’s nice :D
I’ll be back as soon as posible to finish the theme. There are some other things going on, like a splash video that looks(I think) pretty nice for now. Just a preview:tronkyfranParticipant01/14/2016 at 00:36Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant01/11/2016 at 11:20Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant01/11/2016 at 10:14Post count: 110
Well, going back to this project again after holidays!!!! I hope it will be going at a steady pace from now on!!! Roadmap, there are just a handful of systems left!! :D
– Atari Jaguar
– NeoGeo Pocket
– Dragon 32
I know this is, perhaps, not the best suited theme for the raspberry because of the white screen of death and all the memory problems, but hey, I’m close to the end and I think it deserves a little more effort to get it completely done. If its useful just for one person then I’m happy ;)tronkyfranParticipant01/11/2016 at 09:27Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant01/08/2016 at 12:24Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant01/05/2016 at 09:04Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant01/03/2016 at 00:12Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant12/24/2015 at 10:57Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant12/19/2015 at 17:32Post count: 110
I ve got two BIG and possibly compicated suggestions.
I’d líke to choose the opacity of the white bar on the system selección screen, or being capable to hide it.
And the second and superdifficult would be dynamically loading the background images in system select, and game art in game selection. I dont even know if this last one is possible, but I would like to test “some” theme without having a white screen of death, hehehe!!!
These two could be at the end of your list, but please consider it!!!! :DtronkyfranParticipant12/13/2015 at 22:27Post count: 110
This is awesome!!! Ill try to do some testing next week. Im tempted to ask for some things, now that youre hands on the code…hehehehe…wink wink :PtronkyfranParticipant12/10/2015 at 23:03Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant12/10/2015 at 09:24Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant12/09/2015 at 17:14Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant12/05/2015 at 09:21Post count: 110
Herb, then the emulationstation development is frozen, or stopped “forever”? I,m not into programming anymore but I suppose that dinamically load the art(although slower sometimes) into the frontend shouldn’t be so hard. I’m going to try to convince a programmer friend of mine to make a fork and rewrite that part(depends on the time he has,but lets have hope…)tronkyfranParticipant12/04/2015 at 22:43Post count: 110
Interesting information about the split, I didnt know. The fact is that I STILL have to test the theme on my pi. Shame on me!!! :O
This is being and interesting trip, I am learning a lot about the infinite number of computer and console system that were made in the 80s-90s.
For example, I didnt ever heard about this Atari XEtronkyfranParticipant12/04/2015 at 14:59Post count: 110
Maybe you can put a crop of your background over the day/month? It sure will need fine tuning,
But if the date isnt hardcoded to be on the front layer it should work…tronkyfranParticipant12/04/2015 at 12:23Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant12/04/2015 at 10:37Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant12/03/2015 at 19:25Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant12/02/2015 at 22:11Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant12/01/2015 at 12:09Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant12/01/2015 at 12:07Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant11/30/2015 at 13:27Post count: 110tronkyfranParticipant11/27/2015 at 19:20Post count: 110
Okeeyyyyyy, I suppose that USA people prefer this one :D
The image is less interesting because the megadrive logo down-righto is lost in the genesis version but… it is what it is.
In spanish we have an expression, “de perdidos al río”, it means that once you start a thing, it’s not so much effort to do something more(well, more or less).
EDIT: 2nd version is a little more focused, its better for me.
