    Problem solved:

I added “device_tree=” to /boot/config.txt, turning of the device tree. Now all gpio buttons work!

Okay when I simultaneously press a different button then the two that are connected to header P5 (gpio 30 and 31 and ground 1 en 2 of P5) and one of the buttons that are connected to P5, that button ‘fires’.

So It looks like gpio 30 and 31 one are not reacting to the grounds of header P5 but to the ground op the main header P1.

I checked my wires but there are no lose connections. And when I install my sd card with the old retropie, the buttons work? So I’m pretty sure its not a hardware problem.

Do the grounds on P5 have to be activated?

Hmmm cant find any referance to the fontsize for the popup menu….maybe the menu is nit “themed”?

By changing the font size in es_systems.cfg I was able to make the text of the gameslist and the scraped game info bigger so its readable now!

I also would like to make the text of the menu bigger, and also the text of in the down left corner explaining the buttons. But I don’t see any reference to these parts in es_systems.cfg?

Any tips were I can alter the font size of the menu, the scraper menu and the text in the down left corner?

I also don’t have sound in the menu (I do have sounds in the emulators). According to this thread https://github.com/Aloshi/EmulationStation/issues/130 there should be menu sound.

I tried the suggestions in the above thread but they did not work for me…

I’m not able to run the script. I get an error that .scummvmrc is missing.

I’m able to start scummvm form Emulationstation, by adding a start.exe in the scummvm rom folder.

I noticed that my settings in scummvm are not saved though (like games I added and save pads I changed).

When I exit scummvm I get the following error:

WARNING: FSMode::createReadStream: ‘ .scummvmrc’ does not exist!
Default configuration file missing, creating a new one
    Using joystick: Generic X-Box pad
    Home directory /home/pi not ours.

How can I fix this? Tried creating a folder .scummvmrc in /home/pi/ but it did not work?
