hi guys, i’m hoping for some help with getting Sega 32x up and running i’ve tried the BIO’s in lots of different folders, but still not getting any joy,

i have been trying these BIOs:
    32X – Genesis BIOS.bin
    32X – Master BIOS.bin
    32X – Slave BIOS.bin

    &

    32X_G_BIOS.bin
    32X_M_BIOS.bin
    32X_S_BIOS.bin

    thanks in advance

which emulator are you using, DGEN or Picodrive? DGEN doesn’t support 32X (the latest RetroPie image uses Picodrive as default)

Hmmm, I don’t think you need a bios for Picodrive. I could be wrong but I didn’t need one (performance isn’t great by the way) Could it be the rom file?

    place the rom in home/pi/retropie/roms/megadrive

reboot & it should show up in Emulation Station under Genesis page

yup that worked! I never thought of adding them to the MegaDrive folder! I has been adding new rom folders and adding the extra es_systems.cfg info from here…

and yup quality is sadly poor!
but, thanks for the help fella

yeah you do need a bios for Sega CD, which runs a lot better. Roms go in the Megadrive folder again. Glad you got the 32X working, shame it’s unplayable even with overclocking :-(
