A few tricks is to select Warp in the speed section or the other is to turn off true drive emulation but some games need true emulation to load the disk.

If you just want your fav games to load instant then load them using warp and change back to real speed once loaded. Then make a snapshot of the game and load the snap from then on.

BBC Micro emulator in ES would be great. I compiled the unix version and it works very well on rpi2 except there is sound lag. The game play full speed there is also a pandora version with source.

Im guessing we are using different versions of uae4all. I put my kick13.rom in the kickstart folder and manually select 1.3 radio button in the gui… this means changing permissions. The other way is to to select custom button and then click Browse Rom to the bios folder and select kick13.rom.

Test kick13.rom in winuae on pc first…my working kickstart is 512kb in size

Press F4 or use Putty and enter….

    sudo chown -R pi /opt/retropie/emulators/uae4all/kickstarts/

Then FTP your kick13.rom to the kickstart directory.

    [quote=90161]i mean launching a game.
The Uae4all itself starts, i put a game in Df0 und press “reset”, then only a black screen appears.
i tried it without a update too (Write the Image to an SD Card)

Black screen that looks like no kickstart. You need to copy kickstart 1.3 over to bios folder with an FTP Client. Uae4all does not come with kickstart 1.3 for legal reasons ;)

I managed to play Cybernoid on joystick port 2. This is how mine looks and works well.

First when you boot Vice from emustation press x and change resolution to 720 x 576 50hz 16/9

In Machine Settings >> Joystick Settings >>

Jystick device in port 1 -> None
Joystick device in port 2 -> Joystick

also in Speed Settings select 1/1

Don’t forget to save settings in settings management.

btw save states also work so load games and make Snapshot -> save state …cool emulator
To load save states navigate through menu Snapshot ->

In sounds settings I opted for Sid + Digiboost.

    regards
