using keyboard and snes controllers.

I am trying to use an ipac with joysticks and arcade buttons but also use SNES controllers as well. The trouble I am running into is, since i have started using the controllers I have noticed that once in a while, not all the buttons on either the controller or keyboard work properly.(as in suddenlly I cant move left in any game or my exit emulator button only works with my controller.) Has anyone had a similar issue. plz help this is getting very frustrating. I’m almost about to use a pc instead of the raspberry pi.
