Was thinking about using my old Megadrive II to house my RetroPie and came across these instructions: http://www.instructables.com/id/Raspberry-Pi-Sega-Mega-DriveGenesis-II-Case/#step1

Looks like a pretty easy project to do, perhaps a bit of gluing. Might fit a couple of usb ports where the controllers plug in at the front and fit an led where the old Megadrive power led was. Would love to hook the Megadrive power button up to power on/off the Pi but that would be beyond my expertise, unless anybody has any advice?

Do you know how the power button works? Is it momentary (you push it and it is only making contact for a short while) or not (you push the button and it makes contact until you push it again)??

You could cut an old micro usb cable and connect the ground wires together and then route the power wires through the power switch on the console.

If you’re not familiar with the inside of a usb cable check out:

If you have any more questions try to find me on Google Plus http://www.gplus.to/dustinevans or http://www.dustinevans.net

    Good luck with your project.
