    Hey guys!
Im trying to build a Rpi arcade at the moment. So far so good, i got one joystick and some buttons working.
The problem i got is: I would really like to build it for 2 players, but I would not have enough GPIO pins.
I bought this at first, but actually that cannot work because it literally doubles the gpio pins, so that if i trigger one button for example, it would trigger the one connected to the pin right next to it as well. (correct me if im wrong, im a total noob in this regard)

My question is: If my assumption is right, and the perma proto board that i bought does not work, what would help/ might this be something worth buying:

Thank you in advance, i really appreciate help from anybody!

ControlBlock ? (with some additional features)

ControlBlock: Power Switch, Game Controllers, and I/O for the Raspberry Pi

Or if you want to build it completely yourself using MCP23017 like ControlBlock or the “IO Pi” from your second link does is the correct way.

    Thank you very much!
