    Hey guys!
Im trying to build a Rpi arcade at the moment. So far so good, i got one joystick and some buttons working.
The problem i got is: I would really like to build it for 2 players, but I would not have enough GPIO pins.
I bought this https://www.adafruit.com/products/1171 at first, but actually that cannot work because it literally doubles the gpio pins, so that if i trigger one button for example, it would trigger the one connected to the pin right next to it as well. (correct me if im wrong, im a total noob in this regard)

My question is: If my assumption is right, and the perma proto board that i bought does not work, what would help/ might this be something worth buying:

Thank you in advance, i really appreciate help from anybody!

ControlBlock ? (with some additional features)

ControlBlock: Power Switch, Game Controllers, and I/O for the Raspberry Pi

Or if you want to build it completely yourself using MCP23017 like ControlBlock or the “IO Pi” from your second link does is the correct way.
