    +1 to change to config. You outlined good arguments and it appears most will not be impacted.

    I had the same issues. The PS3 controller worked perfectly on a RPI2 retropie 2.6 using a wireless connection, but registers random button presses in 3.0 beta. I have not found a resolution and have switched to using a Xbox controller. I’m hoping it’ll be fixed when the final version is released.

    I forgot to mention that I’d like to keep the Pi on, but only turn off the controller.

    Thanks dudleydes for your response, but that doesn’t appear to work.

    I can connect the controller when the system turns on, but if I turn the controller off and then back on (while leaving the Pi on) it will not reconnect. Like I said I’d like to leave the Pi on and Turn on/off the controller when not in use.
