Is there any easy solution or idea what causes the problem?

EDIT: I’m on Retropie SD v3.1 with Pi 2. Kernel version 4.1.7-v7+.

Oh boy… the solution… after countless of hours.

Just copy the mt7601u.bin from Noobs Raspbian to Retropie’s /lib/firmware directory.

    Up and running!
