what is experimental mupen64plus vs libretro mupen64

Can i exit emulator with a controller with either?
Ive tried installing libretro64 but it hangs on one file. Im waiting it out. I will post any progress i have

One more q. How do i choose what emulator emulation station will use to run my 64 games

you can likely exit the libretro one, I haven’t tried it though

to select which emulator is launched, you have to modify a file: /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg

I am NOT SURE what to add in for these experimental ones though
