I had a working 3.5 install running on my pi2. I ran the updater to update to 3.6 earlier this week and now I’m haven’t been able to get into emulationstation.
It does boot. I get the usual boot info, then the retropie logo, then the emulationstation logo, and then the screen goes white and stays there.
I’ve left it for more than 10 minutes, but nothing happens. I am able to ssh into the pi and everything is responsive there.
Does anyone have any ideas what is happening here? Is there a log I can check or some settings I can reset?

    That was it, thanks!

I switched to Carbon and everything works now. Looks like enabling Dreamcast pushed the other theme over the edge :)
