hello, I was just going to update one of my retropie’s I did a “update retropie-setup script” then rebooted now I get this error

/opt/retropie/supplementary/emulationstation/emulationstation: error while loading libraries: libSDL2-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

and just goes into a loop,
strange as when I did the setup script update there were no errors

    can anyone help pls?

    thanks

edit: can i install the missing item manually? if so how?

    thanks

fixed! i found these files on my other setup..

    libSDL2_test.a
    libSDL2-2.0.so
    libSDL2-2.0.so.0
    libSDL2-2.0.so.0.2.1
    libSDL2.a
    libSDL2.so

copied them over to the one with the errors and bingo!

SDL2 somehow got removed – do you know how that happened ? updating retropie-setup script doesn’t do anything to sdl2.

no buzz, like I said, I updated the setup script, rebooted then the problem occurred

well, the setup-script does not touch SDL when being updated, so it must have happened before, or after, or be caused by something else.
