trying to run C64 roms not having much luck

Can someone help me i am making an emulator for old games to play with my friends. I am trying to put some C64 roms but they always give a weird screen about a cartridge. im new to pi but willing to learn. im using .tap files

hmm – weird issue. I am using the GoodGB64 romset for my Commodore 64 Games and can’t say I’ve encountered that before. The GoodGB64 set includes both disk and tape images.

Maybe try grabbing one of these off the internet and trying it to see if there’s some sort of incompatability with your romset.
