currently using my rbp b+ as a retropie. im trying to add xmbc to my retro pie but cant even get xbmc to install…

    i have tried

    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install python-software-properties pkg-config
    sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc/ppa
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install xbmc

but i get a 404 error at second update. this is my first time ever using linux so im asuper noob.

is there another repository that i can get xbmc from? or what am i messing up?

did you add the raspberry pi xbmc repository? i believe its a different one than the default lists

i also think that this is an upstream issue, i tried to build xbmc a few weeks ago too but it appears that there have been some major changes made to it and it will not currently build on the raspberry pi from the same source i was using

yeh you can’t use the team-xbmc ppa for arm.

there is an xbmc under “experimental” menu in retropie – did you try that ?
