    Hello all!

Does anyone know if it’s possible to force the theme to refresh, reloading the images in the theme folder? I’m working on a theme – simple, white sort of thing – which I’ll post on here when it’s done.

Ideally, I’d like to do it automagically after a controller is inserted – I’ve already got a way of detecting what kind of controller it is (from xboxdrv) and subbing in appropriate background images to show button diagrams. I just need emulationstation to refresh the theme once it’s done that.

Hope there’s someone out there who can help, thanks in advance!

EDIT: Looking through the source code, I think I can see a way of doing it, although my coding skills are very rusty indeed. Still, I might be missing something completely obvious so I’ll leave this question up.

If you’re willing to run emulationstation with –debug all the time, CTRL+R does a theme refresh. I’m no good with linux, but maybe you can find a way to script that input on peripheral dis/connection?
