hello i recently found out how to play hacked GBA games like having a post apocalyptic Pokemon game. unfortunately the only one that can play such a file is not that optimized for the RPI2 because if i play a non hacked game such as sonic advance. Often times the other emulators will play non hacked game great but when i play a hacked game it will refuse to start but the screen goes away too fast for me to write the error down. i am in no hurry to get this fix because i do not have a controller to do anything

is there a way to fix it or use a different emulator to play the hacked GBA games

What emulator are you using, I find the new MGBA one to be the fastest.

how new is it like past 2.6? i dont remember trying it and can it play the hacked roms? i have tried gpSP, lr-gpSP, lr-vba-next. If i remember correctly lr-vba-next played hacked roms but had slow down sometimes to 10 FPS that happen with both legit and hacked roms? ill give it a try though
