Needs to be version 2.5 or greater. If not the pi 2 will sit like there isn’t an image in it.

I’m new To RPI/Linux etc. I’ve used computers starting with an Apple II plus back in 1980, then TRS-80s (Tandy/Radio Shack) Models I,II & III and various PCs from XTs onwards. I’ve always been a user rather than a programmer although I did program in BASIC once and know a little C and Objective C. I’d like to relive the stuff I used to enjoy doing on earlier PCs. So I’m interested in Retropie. I bought the new RPI2 and it should arrive in the next few days. The problem is, I’m new to the whole scene and don’t even know where to start and what I’ll need. Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

This should get you started. Just use the 2.5.0 SD card image
