InactiveSo, I tried to configure my wifi. Imagine my suprise when I was told Wicd-Curses was missing. It tried installing it, but of course can’t. Why? Because there’s no wifi to connect to.
How in the world do I fix this? Am I going to need to wait for RC2? Or should I revert back to 3.4 beta? I cannot find a link to the older builds of Retropie.

wicd-curses package seems to be missing – no wifi.
Wicd-curses is only installed when selected (which requires an active internet connection)

It causes CPU scaling issues and so it was changed to being optional rather than installed by default. We’re looking into a simple cmdline GUI that doesnt cause the same issues and runs much leaner, see here:

You’ll need to be plugged into it with an Ethernet cable to install wicd-curses or if you don’t have an Ethernet cable you can configure your WiFi manually using option 2 or 3 on this page:

InactiveThank you kindly for the update on this. I’d heard RC1 seems to fix folks issues with lr-stella, so I figured I’d try it. Here’s hoping eh?
Also, thank you for the quick answer. It’s much appreciated.

InactiveWelp, all that, and lr-stella STILL doesn’t work. sigh. And when I try to change it to stella, it still claims it can’t create that system, find the game, ect. But they’re in the correct folder.
Dear lord, why can’t I get stella working? I miss my 2600 games.
Also, does anyone have a download link to 3.4 beta?

InactiveThank you friend. Any idea why lr-stella seems to hate me so much?
I can start any game with it, and get some odd blue lines and a sort of buzzing tone. They move inward, then it goes to a black screen.

InactiveI fixed it! Somehow, it seems my atari 2600 game files had become….oddly corrupted? They all had 0 kb. When I used my backups of them, now it works fine.
