Ps3 controller stopped working abruptly?

About a month ago, my ps3 controller worked fine over bluetooth with no issues. Then one day it stopped working. I’ve tried to redo the installation, I’ve updated and upgraded, I’ve tried various methods, but it looks like the system just no longer recognizes that this controller exists at all, even starting from scratch.

Is there something I’m doing wrong, or is this just an issue not entirely fixed yet?
