    Hey all,

Since psp is starting to work and psx runs very smooth now on the ps1 I was wondering if the first steps towards ps2 emulation on the rpi3 can be discussed?
Or is ps2 still way too heavy to run on rpi3?

I remember running pcsx2 on my general pc and this required quite some hardware. But you never know.

    Thanks for any feedback.

Absolutely no chance of PS2 emulation on the Pi. Sorry :)

probably in 6-10 years or so with PI version 9 or 10 ;)

Unfortunately PCSX2, which is the best PS2 emulator out there, relies heavily on DirectX and other Windows-specific code, making it too hard to port. There’s an Android version in development but it’s early days.

The best shot at this ever coming to pass would be the PS2 emulator known as Play! But that’s not going to run remotely well on a pi anytime soon.
