Problems with playability

I’m fairly new to working with the Rpi and I installed Retropie as my first project.
The problems:
-N64 games won’t open. It will attempt to, but before the game can start, it returns to the game selection screen.
-Xbox 360 controller does not work with SNES games (only controller I have)
-The gba player cannot find the bios. I’ve placed it in both the BIOS folder and the gba roms folder.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
