hdmi_drive=2
in/boot/config.txt
This link has lots of info on all the config.txt settings:
http://elinux.org/RPiconfighey guys I still haven’t sound via HDMI even I uncomment HDMI_driver=2
Thank you Benwlson for your help. I open up config.txt in windows and uncomnented hdmi_drive=2 and it fixed it again thanks for your help i hope this helps others as well.
so u guys mean when uncommenting thisvia windows works and otherwise not?!?
I tried and faild. I got the Retrpie 3.6 no sound via HDMi and via 3,5mm
toslink would be good for me cause I used it in a arcade cabinet, so no HDMI sound neededI put the sd card in my win7 pc and opened up the cofig file with note pad and i deleted the # in front of hdmi_drive=2 and then clicked save then put sd back in and boted up and i had sound
I read in some posts, that some users just got problem with the preinstalled emulators. They installed otherones and it works…someone else choose a drive in the retroarch setup and i works, but in my case nothing helps. How can I install an emulator on my own and where to finde it?!?
Thanks a lot
Sorry but I can’t follow your tips, cause when I start to adapt my conif.txt via windows it is the same. The stuff is already uncommented, cause I already did in the console?!? So ones again I don’t need a explanation on how to do this, I want to know where there is the difference, since I uncommented and added eeverything, but nothing helps.
Thankshey guys I tried something. so before the game starts at the SNES I go into the menu by pushing a button. There I can change my emulator for snes. Default it is the lr-sne9x-next when I change that to snes9x soudn works…but all the buttons are not matched anymore. THis is also for everyother emulator. so the default emulators doesn’t have sound there is a bug in the retropie 3.6
Thank you for the tip buddy.
