    Hi all,

Been scouring the web and these forums for anyone who knows how to configure the xbox360 controller (wired) so that you can actually hold the back button and hit SELECT button to exit out of whatever mame rom you are playing back to the Emulation Engine to choose another rom to play.

I’m certain this is possible, but I have yet to see a walkthru for Retropie v3.5
Every video instructible I have come across is for version 3.0 and version 3.5 does not have the “setup retroarch joystick” option.

All i want to do it to program the back and select pressed together to exit the ROM currently being played and back out to the Emulation Engine.

    Thanks in advance!!

I actually haven’t tried it yet, but I just watched this video on how to configure a controller for MAME:

You need to attach a keyboard to set it up, because pressing TAB is what brings you to the menu in MAME where you change the inputs. In the mame input menu, go to UI Cancel, hit enter then hold down select and then while still holding it press start. This will make the way you exit MAME the same as how you exit other emulators in Retropie. (Or I guess you could set any other configuration you want instead.)
