nextion 2.8" screen

hi,
I have a nextion 2.8″ monitor (like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nextion-2-8-HMI-TFT-Touch-Screen-LCD-Display-Module-for-Arduino-Raspberry-Pi-/151888100615?rmvSB=true) and I’d like to use that with my retropie.

I am not necessarily interested in using the touch screen functionality, but I can’t understand how to redirect the video stream to the monitor instead of to the HDMI port.
