Need the simplest theme possible

I have a standalone arcade machine running Emulation Station via retropie. Its for people who are NOT tech savvy, and kids who cannot read. It’s only running MAME with 20 ROMS.

I need a menu that will only show a screenie (or customized image containing the screenie and marquis), and allow them to select the ROM with the up and down, and play it with (A). No text, no stats, no layouts, no instructions (except maybe “Press P1 to start.”).

Couldn’t find a skin like this, or figure out how to make one, so I wrote a java app that would do it, but don’t want to replace E.S. as the front-end. Just want to make it idiot proof.

Removing all text apart from the game list. Can it be done?
