This is my project, just finished. I have made a video with all relevant details:electromaster64Participant12/05/2014 at 00:16Post count: 45
I made one a while back http://www.petrockblock.com/forums/topic/sega-genesis-megadrive-raspberry-pi/
But your is super clean looking. Did you paint the Megadrive or were you able to find one in excellent condition? How did you code the buttons into the GPIO?epellejerParticipant12/05/2014 at 00:38Post count: 3
The unit I found was not so nice at the beginning, I just cleaned it up and the result was good enough.
For the gamepads I have used db9_gpio_rpi driver (https://github.com/petrockblog/RetroPie … 9_gpio_rpi).
You need to use modprobe to load it. For the use of 2 original (3+1) buttons pad, you have to use “modprobe -first-time db9_gpio_rpi map=4,4”.
For the Reset button I have used Pikeyd which emulates a “KEY_ESC” press on the GPIO.epellejerParticipant12/05/2014 at 00:44Post count: 3

By the way, did you finally sell it?
