I have been trying to setup the mega CD. I have not been able to get any ingame music playing. Currently I am using genesis for the emulation (default I think) and the music files are in the same directory as the ISO and are MP3’s. Do they need to be wav? I hope not as I don’t really have the space for a full size CD!

mega cd will run you about 500 MB a game. its going to be costly in terms of space. thats just how it is. I’ve only ever had my games in bin and cue format I don’t have any with standalone music files, but this guy seemed to sort it out:

Yep, as above. Gotta be in .bin. cue format. Iso + wav just won’t work

Thanks guys. I was able to get it to work with WAV and ISO. The WAVs have to be uncompressed and named the same as the ISO with the track number after the name (starting at 2).

    Sonic CD.ISO
    Sonic CD 02.wav
    Sonic CD 03.wav

    Just converted the mp3s over.
