I don’t recall this happening in Retropie 2.6, but I upgraded to 3.0 and use the Advmame emulator. In the roms directory is where the artwork and samples directories are. After I added my sound samples to the samples folder, the samples directory shows up in the Mame menu in emulation station and if you click on it, it opens up and you can see the sample files. Is there any way of preventing the Samples directory from showing up in the menu ?

Not currently. Ignore it for now – before we had separate parent folders for samples/artwork, but that looked messy having directories that were not platform directories in the roms folder.

I kinda thought that was the reason. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something.
