For some reason, keyboards plugged into my Retropie output completely incorrectly in terminal. If I type an N, I might get a P for example. The J is the return key. This makes it impossible to input terminal commands, which is obviously a bit frustrating. Any suggestions on how to correct this? Remember that if your suggestion includes “Type xyz in the terminal,” I won’t be able to follow through.

you can still ssh in from another machine right ?

which version of retropie ? are you using a fresh image ?

you can switch keyboard layout if something has gone wrong using raspi-config (sudo raspi-config)
