    Hi all.
First, i would like to say a big “THX” for this distro, really it’s very pleasant to play retrogaming on a cheap raspberry.
I bought the cheapest retropad I found to play with, found here:
    http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6467866067.html?orderId=65578955746003

It works perfectly in snes and genesis games, after a little config in raspi-config.
But, impossible for me to find any information to use it with mupen64plus.

My config: rasp B+ with fresh v2.5.0 BETA image.

When I launch maro kart by example, menu of the game is launching but I can’t do anything with my pad…
    Can you help me?
    thx!

I’m not sure how you’re going to be able to play N64 with a SNES controller… You need an analog joystick.

    N64

The best option if you want one controller to play everything would be an Xbox 360 wireless controller for PC. Works out of the box for most everything in RetroPie and can be configured to work for the others.

I didn’t say that. A PS3 controller would work too, but I see people having a lot of problems getting them working. 360 controller just works. I’ve also heard of people using 3rd party controllers

But yes, you need something with an analog thumb stick.

Here is a list of all supported controllers:
    https://github.com/mupen64plus/mupen64plus-input-sdl/blob/master/data/InputAutoCfg.ini

You can find and modify this config file under /opt/retropie/configs/n64.
