How does one config experimental Pcsx-rearmed in beta3 to exit with the joystick

The experimental pcsx rearmed that you install from the setup menu in beta 3 is much faster on the rpi1, but how does one config it to exit using the select+start buttons on a sixaxis?. Currently it’s configed to exit to it’s own internal menu with the ESC button on a keyboard.
