    So everything was working just fine with my PS3 controllers, and I was in the menu and accidentally installed the xbox 360 drivers. Not a big deal (so I thought) but now my ps3 controller registers as player 3 instead of player one, emulationstation detects 2 controllers when there is nothing even plugged in (which I assume is from the xbox driver) and none of my emulators work using player 3. Can anyone one tell me how to UNINSTALL the xbox 360 controller drivers? or am I screwed now?

    I figured it out… I just had to delete the entry in rc.local thus preventing the drivers from being loaded at boot up. Voilà! my ps3 registers as p1 again. :) Hope this helps other noobs like myself.
