This used to work fine with the renamed BIOS file. For some reason I cant get this core to play Sega CD games.

Anyone else have this problem, or maybe a resolution?

same issue here- but is there some reason why you can’t use lr-picodrive to run sega cd games?

btw I’ve done more testing and at least in my case it seems to be the cue file that isn’t working- I can load the bin file directly from the rgui but I don’t get sound (I’m testing with sonic CD) so its possible the cue file you have may not work with lr-genesis-plusgx whereas lr-picodrive may accomodate varying cue files better. but thats just my guess, I’m not entirely sure what the issue may be.

I did some further testing and it appears that you need the renamed (bios_U_CD.bin) bios in the same folder as the roms. I edited my es_systems to only show .cue files so they don’t show up in the rom list.

The reason I prefer this emulator is due to an integer scaling issue with Picodrive. Any render resolution higher than 480p results in integer scaling not working. This is essential for using scanline overlays.

This issue is on the Picodrive GitHub (started by myself) but still has not been corrected unfortunately. I also prefer Genesis-GX due to better accuracy and compatibility, especially on the Pi 2.

Ahhh… Yes that’s the one thing I didn’t try. I’ll update the wiki when I’ve got time- as that is very important to know.
