so i am having trouble with both lr-gpsp and gpsp.
gpsp runs all of my roms, but the controller configuration makes me use the thumb joystick, in order to use the d pad i have to turn the MODE button on to use the d pad (which is opposite of every other emulator.) and i cant fix it in the settings for gpsp

lr-gpsp only runs a few roms, but the controller works great, i have tried updating the binary and it didnt fix anything

anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
    thanks

    (its a Logitech gamepad btw)

… Oh my bad. I take it you’re on a rpi1? It may only be on the rpi2. I apologise for making that assumption. I take it lr-vba-next is also not on your list?

nope….do i have any other options? gpsp would be great if it let me use the d pad without turning on the mode button. this retro pie is for my 5 year old son, so im trying to keep things as simple as possible.

This is what’s showing in option 5 on my setup script but its only on the rpi2:

You can configure the controller in gpsp by pressing F10 while in game.

Outside of that I’m not sure how to help. (A raspberry pi 2 is a good investment)

They don’t show on my list either, but then I have a RPi 1 so just assumed that was why.

I FIGURED IT OUT!!!!! so i was looking at my rom list and tried to find similarities of the roms that would’t load… well i noticed that the ones in .gba format loaded fine, but the ones in .GBA format would not… so once i made them all lowercase ,gba they worked great in lr-gpsp
