I’ve got my mame and fba setups running pretty smoothly, but still manage to lock up the pi when trying to load larger Neo Geo roms. According to the piFBA google code site:

Some large ROMS may require converting to the ‘.fba’ format before they will work. FBACache_windows.zip is included to do this, which runs on Windows not Linux.

Which makes sense, but can anyone provide a list of which games require this, or anecdotal evidence of game file size that would require it so I can just run through the process and be done with it? I’m tired of crashing the pi and yanking the power cord every time I try a game and worry about card corruption as a result.

I do have my ram split bumped up to 384 and have overclocked to High settings – I need to get a heat sink set before I bump up to insane or whatever.
