I used to reorder the systems displayed in ES by editing the gamelist.xml. It was cumbersome but it worked.

I see the structure of the gameslist files has changed (each system gets its own folder), so the old method won’t work.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Also I feel sorting the systems by type/year by default would make sense. Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Colour in that order is just weird!

Also wondering if there’s a trick to hide files like SYSTEMMANAGER.CDI and NEOGEO.ZIP from ES? :)

Make a duplicate of the es_systems.cfg, order your systems, and place it in /home/pi/.emulationstation and it won’t be overwritten on updates. Just delete or move the Dreamcast romfolder if you aren’t going to use it.

Thanks Herb! I actually didn’t have an es_systems.cfg which is why I got lost. I copied one and set it up. All working fine :) Thanks heaps!

I am actually using Dreamcast so won’t be hiding it ;)
