    For Dreamcast the Wiki tells you to put the BIOS files into folder:
    /home/pi/.reicast/data/

    when I WinScp into the /.reicast folder it looks greyed out and owner is root rather than pi

    I can only log into retropie using ‘pi’ and when I try using ‘root’ I have no idea of the password – ‘raspberry’ does not work.

    Can anyone help with this – as I can’t transfer files into this folder using the ‘pi’ account?

    sudo passwd root will let you choose a new password then you can log in as root over winscp.
