After adding the GBA Bios file the default save state location is
    cd /opt/retropie/emulators/gpsp

I am trying to set the default save state location to
    /home/pi/RetroPie/savestate

I did the same thing with Mupen64 and RetroArch and it works fine, but I cannot find any way to change the default save location for the GBA. Any ideas?

I don’t know if it work with gpsp but doesn’t hurt give a try…
open the file: opt\retropie\configs\gba\retroarch.cfg and add this line savefile_directory = "/home/pi/RetroPie/savestate/"

There is no GBA Retroarch emulator folder, and even if there was I doubt that would work since they are different emulators.

I tried doing the same thing you mentioned in the .cfg file for gpsp but it messes with the games and they fail to load. It would just be nice if every save file went into a nice folder without having to manually change the settings for individual emulators.

You should be able to install the gpsp retro arch version. I think it’s in the Experimental section.

The original gpsp has no way to configure the save files output.
