I’ve been building a porta pi (http://www.retrobuiltgames.com/diy-kits-shop/porta-pi-arcade-wood-kit-hd/) but can’t get the Pi to boot. I
think I’ve narrowed it down to the PI or SD card but don’t what else I
    can check.

When I first booted up the LCD went blue and showed no signal. If I
connect an external HDMI source to the LCD driver board the screen
works and shows the source, so the LCD and driver board appear sound.

If I connect the PI directly to my TV by HDMI it just shows a blank
screen. My TV was already on when I switched on the PI so presume the
handshake isn’t the issue. I’ve also switched HDMI leads so think I
can rule out any monitor issues.

I started off using the newer Disc image (retropie-v3.0-rpi2.img) but
have also used the one from your site (RetroPie v2.3 for Pi1 and Pi2
    PPAOS v4.5 NO ROMS.img).

I’ve tried booting my normal PC from its the SD card reader but i
don’t think the card reader is a bootable device.

I’ve got a Raspberry Pi 2 model B v1.1, The red power and green SD
card access lights are lit. The green light stays on even when there
is no SD card in the slot.

    What should I try next?

    Thanks for any assistance
